Presented by the Northwest Indiana Storytelling Guild, this event typically starts with tame stories during the day that gradually get scarier into the evening. The event takes place less than an hour from Crown Point at Indiana Dunes State Park, giving your family a perfect chance to enjoy Indiana’s natural beauty.

Haunted Hills Hospital
If you’re looking for a Halloween event near Crown Point that’s on the scarier side, consider heading to Haunted Hills Hospital. This award-winning haunt includes multiple terrifying attractions, including a haunted house and a scare zone. Visitors looking for less intense experiences may enjoy the haunt’s midway and arcade.
For a terrifying time, head to the haunted house with the same name as the main attraction. The hospital, operated by the fictional and demented Truman Corporation, is a mental facility home to the most twisted patients. Worst of all? The corporation experiments on its patients. The scares continue at the Hills Hollow: Condemned Scarezone. Enter if you dare as you attempt to escape the terrifying monsters who await you.
Haunted Hills Hospital typically operates Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights throughout October and on Halloween night. Purchasing tickets online can save you time at the gate, and the event offers passes that allow you to skip the lines to spend more time enjoying the event. It also sometimes hosts special occasions, such as the Blackout, a terrifying night when they turn out all the lights in the Haunted Hills Hospital haunted house.
